This
was my first DSM, it was a nice change from a big ol'e four door
Chevy Lumina Euro. I could only handle being in a four door
family car for so long. Then the A/C went out and was going to
cost a grand to fix it. NO THANKS, I don't like the car that
much.
I traded it straight across for the Talon. Sure the Talon had 90k on it, but it was in excellent shape and drove great. That was when I was introduced to Club DSM and it changed my world!
My 1990 Eagle Talon Tsi was equipped with the stock 2.0L turbo charged 195 HP DOHC inline 4 cylinder engine. Its sporty, gets up and goes and still gets 20-25+ MPG. The only problem I have with it is traction! Being FWD with all that power the tires break loose very easy, especially above 5000 RPM.
Yet I wanted MORE POWER, yes it was fast but not fast enough IMHO! Sure a FWD can get great quarter mile times with practice. I didn't want to practice, I want WOT and I want traction at the same time! So the obvious solution was to go buy an AWD model.
I traded it in for a 1993 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD with low, low mileage.
